Brandon… found your video by accident and it is a wealth of information- very well done too! I was setting up my wife’s new MacBook Pro M1 Max and needed to find a video that she could watch to help her understand the Mac system. She is migrating from Windows and needs to be “Appleized” quickly. For myself, I switched to a Mac Mini two yers ago and wish that I had seen this video then. Yes, I learned a few tricks and tips too. Thanks for the informative way you presented this tutorial. Looking forward to the Part Two you mentioned near the end.

Very useful. However - you must have great eyes! I have to select the res to the left of the default instead of more space. Fonts across the apps and menus are too small for me that way. Unless you know of someway to keep the fonts big while upping the screen res....

it is a shame windows search is just so far behind mac. The power toys run feature (apart of the power toys program, which is made by microsoft, but has to be downloaded seperately) is pretty good. You can basically do everything spotlight can. But window's local search is just bad, so searching for local things can be a bit borked.

I am halfway through the video and tried the first few settings and found 2 conflicting settings... (app expose: swipe down with 3 fingers, and the trackpad dragging (3 finger drag)) they are mutually exclusive.
@tomlewis4748 Жыл бұрын
Interesting. I've been annoyed that when I even looked cross-eyed at my trackpad it would register a click! God, is that annoying. Based on your vid, I checked-it was already set all the way up to firm (grumble grumble). The way I set it on day one. But before hurling the MBP off the balcony like a discus, I changed it all the way to 'light'. No change. So I moved it back to firm, and voila, now it's firm! The moral of the story is don't believe everything your screen tells you, and that settings can change randomly without any input from the user. Once again, the wisdom of Apple. Or lack of it. Thanks, BB.

Hi, I just got the M2 Macbook Pro and have been a Windows user (still am, my desktop) and I find this video pretty useful. I did notice though that you had set the Screensaver time to 10 minutes. This is a great video for setting up the new MacBook Pro. Thank you. I’m going to purchase the new MacBook Pro and want to go with the 14inch M2 Max for its smaller size. But I read so many reviews to not get the M2 Max in 14inch but get the 16inch instead because the overheating issue on the 14inch. Is that really that bad? But if I get the 14inch M2 pro at 32gb 1TB, it’s only $200 less than the $3099 14inch M2 Max. Not sure 🤔
