Just to clarify to some of the commenters here. There are two common distinct Macbook display issues. The first is FlexGate, which is where you lose backlight after the screen opens about 25° or so, or you get stagelighting at the bottom of the screen. This is primarily caused by the backlight flex cable cracking and only getting intermittent connection. This problem here is colloquially known as DustGate and is caused by damage to the two wider flex cables that go from the TCON board to the LCD panel. This is where dust and grit work down and damage the flex cable/s causing intermittent data transmission to the LCD. Two ways to fix this are restoring the broken data lines in the flex/s with a small solder blob, fine jumper wire or conductive ink. In my mind it is not really a satisfactory repair. Some technicians will replace both data cables but this requires removing the LCD panel from the metal housing and soldering in two new flex cables. Very labour intensive and quite expensive.

It will be cheaper. Basically open it and solder a little bit to fix it. "Micro electronics repair". Means you don't need parts. But the best part is it is fixable because apple doesn't repair a lot of stuff that they should be able to.

Reason why I’m saying this is, apple is very well known for customer support. There’s no other company that gives customer support similar to apple. Apple hardly sell broken products even if they do they would either recall or replace for free. Because there are lot of people out there waiting to sue apple and get rich. Since you don’t know this I’m assuming you use OPPO or Huawei and trying to pretend like you own lot of apple. Or maybe you own apple products that has the logo of full apple (unbitten)

This is not MacBook specific. Happens with many laptops. LCD cables are routed through the hinges and wear over time. Sometimes the cable requires replacement and in some cases a simple reseat of the connector fixes the issue.

This is likely a connector issue between the display and the motherboard. Probably not seated properly.

Its not a $50 repair tho, and is caused by crappy engineering (or planned obsolescence maybe?) Just look at the A1502, the thickness is very similar. But you can open and close it as many times as you want, the flex cable is much sturdier. And yea, the ssd is replaceable.
