Macclesfield to Uttoxeter along the Churnet Valley

Our journey begins with a footplate trip aboard Stanier Class 4 2-6-4T 42665 hauling a passenger train from Macclesfield towards Uttoxeter as far as Leek. A cab ride aboard Class 24 D5047 takes us onwards to Oakamoor before we again join 46225 for the last part of our journey for eventual arrival at Uttoxeter and its shed for servicing. Imagine how useful this route would be these days. Taking all the traffic off the roads to Alton Towers theme park.
