They've done it already. By throwing a wind charge straight up into the sky, and then throwing an ender pearl at the right time, you can teleport several blocks up and use the mace to kill people easily. I don't know the exact heights for each entity to die, but it's pretty much able to kill a person in protection four netherite armor. They should really add a cooldown to both the ender pearl and wind charge at the same time, meaning you can only use one at a time. It just feels less like Minecraft and more like a mod.
