Well guess what, nobody lives forever and you cant make every Star Wars movie about Luke and Vader and thats what people want. With all the different characters and worlds, these stories could be told forever. But, fans can't grasp that concept. Personally, I have no issues with anything Star Wars.

@@realKratos667 Counterpoint: you could actually make good new characters that are well written and people won't have nearly as much of an issue with them. There's an entire extended universe full of characters not in the original series yet somehow people never had an issue with that. Plenty of people complain about characters that aren't new like Obi-wan because they lobotomize his intelligence for the sake of plot convenience, yet at the same time no one complains about the new characters in Andor because that show is actually well done. Doesn't really track with what you're saying.

A well aware Jedi could easily survive being pushed out of that window. One who had just gotten his arm sliced off and electrocuted is questionable. Mace was pretty strong in the force but strong enough to focus on his landing after what he went through 🤷🏻.

I just don’t understand how people think he can survive being electrocuted by sidious, when sidious had full intentions on killing him after gaining Anakin’s trust. You can see the X-ray of his skull outlined the same way Vader died after being electrocuted. That alone would kill him, and George confirmed that. No one is surviving sidious’s lightning. Then on top of him losing a limb without getting help soon, and then falling hundreds if not thousands of feet down after being killed is just more confirmation. It literally wouldn’t make sense. The only person surving making sense is Maul, he wasn’t electrocuted by the most powerful sith in history and was only sliced in half, and is a sith and the sith literally survive off of pain and hatred. It fuels their power and allows them to live, Vader’s suit was just temporary, his hate and pain and suffering is what allowed him to live more so than his suit did.

@@jangofett7513 1, sidious is not the most powerful sith to ever live, darth nihilus is canon and would have literally eaten him alive. Nihilus has a reputation for devouring the populations of entire planets. 2, Vader died because his suits respirator was fried and he was no longer drawing on the dark side to survive. Sidious had Vader in that suit to make him easier to deal with should he turn hostile, it was also made with outdated parts to make it as uncomfortable as possible.

I’m not completely against Mace coming back, because even way back- there was the possibility he survived. Mace was too powerful to just die off that way.. including Plo. However, a lot of fans perf it this way- brings more impact on order 66. Then again.. based on the track record of shows Disney has placed out so far.. I really think they should leave Mace alone. [UNLESS, they make an animated Vader series and he comes out in there. Makes more sense to bring him back in that way.]

I for one DEFINITELY am in favor of surviving Mace Windu being used (as long as the writing is good) AND HELPS LUKE & AHSOKA CREATE NEW JEDI ORDER. With Cal Kestus, Grogu, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, discovered leftover clone or 2 of Starkiller (maybe 1 goes bad), younger Mos Konada, some cool species Jedis (like Wookie, Ewok, Jawa, Tuskin, etc) etc etc with occasional force ghosts of Liam Niason, Anakin, Obiwan & Yoda. I have no interest in Rey's Jedi order like most. Pull from all legends canon books, comics, video games, etc. Mace Windu also had a brother. Whether he also is played by Jackson or another actor used....that storyline could be interesting. Just keep the KK Klan out of production & influence. Jackson wants in. Good chunk of fans want him. I say YES..... IF IT'S WRITTEN CORRECTLY. It could make sense. It's not really a stretch. They never found Yoda. Obiwan hid successfully. And it could have taken Windu a long time to recover. And take a long time to figure out he wasn't a lone survivor of Order 66, alone against a huge new Empire. Until he's approached by force ghost of Kenobi, Yoda or even..... ANAKIN! Hmmmm, that's a wild concept. All 3 died roughly the same time vs Quigon..... Concepts expressed of Kenobi discovering him while still alive could also be excellent option. Clearly he should have robot hand and disfigured & aged face like the cool concept art out there. Blind is interesting as well. Lastly, i wouldn't mind a return threat of Grievous even somehow. Or similar character. He was such a great villain & i wouldn't mind seeing his history in animation as Tales of Jedi future story, based on books. Again....like everything else, if written well by fans of material vs clowns they hire that admit they didn't watch all 1-6.

Was really liking this video but I have to disagree. George never said he won “fair and square” he only said he can “compete” in a duel with sidious, not defeat. This has been one of the biggest misconceptions of starwars since 2005. But people hype mace up to the point where logic and reason do not matter. In the novel(which was line-edited by George Lucas himself)it explains that sidious’s power was beyond Vapaad. When he looks into shatterpoint he see’s ANAKIN’S fear, NOT Sidious’s he thought it was Sidious’s and then we later learn moments later it was not his fear. It was Anakin’s, as he is entering the room. Because this is a set up. When Mace dies in the novel, he even asks Anakin for help, as he is dying he says “he was faking, he wasn’t weak” as he is being killed. People hate to read this because it is true. Even in Disney’s cannon, it states in the StarWars encyclopedia, Lightsabers and Equipment, that he momentarily allowed himself to be disarmed per arrival of Anakin skywalker. George says in the quote this scene “always started out over powering palpatine” that “I later added in he pretends to be weak” to convince Anakin. People misinterpret that quote. Not understanding the context of it, this is from Anakin’s point of view. It has to happen, overpowering is the whole point of the scene to look weak when Anakin is there. It is scene manipulation, that is the entire point of plot. Nick gillard, the man who worked very, very closely with George on creating the fights for the prequels says that Mace would have no chance. Sure he can duel him, until sidious has enough. But the point was that Sidious was not tying to win, he was trying to manipulate an entire galaxy, justifying that the sith were just, bc of the “Jedi taking over” you can’t manipulate an entire galaxy if your dead. If he couldn’t beat Mace then he would’ve been dead before anakin arrived. Seems oddly specific that Sidious just gives up when Anakin is right around the corner. You could argue due to him stalling for so long not using any other force power this caused him to be hindered, but the novel states this wasn’t the case. It says Palpatine was not scared at all. Does not mean this causes him to lose, bc once again when mace looks into shatterpoint he see’s Anakin’s fear. Not Sidious, “fool do you think the fear is mine?” And then Anakin appears. The most conflicted character at this point in time. Not knowing what he is going to do. Sidious already knows what he is going to do, because he had been waiting for this exact moment for decades, manipulating the Jedi, the galaxy, both sides of the war. It does not make since that Sidious would willingly put his life in danger and not know if he can defend himself long enough until he can manipulate anakin. He knew exactly what he was doing, the damage was already done to Anakin. The novel states when Mace uses vapaad to channel palpatine’s inner darkness that during their fight neither one was fatigued. If Sidious isn’t fatigued fighting himself, that confirms that he is in full control. He was laughing, smiling, toying with mace the entire duel, and he’s doing that while Mace is at his absolute peak channeling the darkness, clearly if he’s having fun fighting Mace when he’s using Vapaad and he’s not fatigued doing so, then it’s obvious just based off that alone he’s not losing. He’s obviously just toying with him, it’s right there in writing. Once again, he never used any force powers in their entire fight until after Anakin showed up. When he starts using lightening, Mace realizes that Sidious’s power is beyond Vapaad. It’s in the novel. The novel George line-edited, so whatever is in there is in there because he wanted it. If your arguing with the novel then your arguing with George, and George has said in the commentary that he pretends to be weak. Much love to Mace because he is an amazing, unique, and just badass character. But to undermine sidious and overhype mace is just disrespectful and misleading to fans, spreading misinformation about his character is wrong. If that were the case, then telling Anakin’s story is pointless. Mace should be the chosen one then, if he can easily beat him because of an ability(which was stated useless against sidious in the novel)then he can beat anyone and he is the chosen one. It devalues the entire story, almost more than bringing him back from the dead. Because that’s what was so important about his death, is that he died fighting, trying his best, and it was not enough. Even yoda could not defeat him. The chosen one is needed, and even Anakin died, sacrificing himself, truly bringing balance to the force. That was the point, that’s how powerful Sidious was. The prophecy had to be fulfilled.
