Antony & The Johnsons is a great band fronted by Antony Hegarty who now goes by her name, Anohi. Her voice is like a cherub on this earth. Their cover of Knockin' on Heaven's Door was used on the season finale of Son's of Anarchy.

Antony, nowadays she calls herself Anohni is very unique and her voice is also. Years ago I saw a documentary on a Dutch TV channel and I was hooked... she is a fascinating person, with thoughts soooo deep... so emotional. Of course that is no mainstream music... thanks, that you reacted to this piece and I am very curious about the opinions about her music... and i hope Adam will react to her anytime soon also... even if her music is not your style, I think you should have heard at least one song of her... my favorite is THE RAPTURE, by the way, but I haven chosen this one, cause I thought it is more characteristics... thank you

I wonder if you know Tori Amos. She was one of my favorite female singer-songwriter of the 90s. Only recently have I discovered that she'd continued making music, and her last album came out in 2017. Her father was a priest, so she was brought up in a religious family and playing the piano helped her let her emotions out. That's why she used to sing so passionately. She's also a great piano player. If you want to check her out, you may like to choose either of these two songs:1) "Winter"- which is more emotional, dedicated to her father and showcases her beautiful voice. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYjQdoeujLJjnpI 2) "Precious Things"- which is more "aggressive", because she sings about people who's hurt her feelings in the past. I've heard KZbinrs say that many people who like metal music also like Tory Amos. This song makes you understand why. I can imagine it as a metal song, as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGSneK2qntxmd6s

I won a small fortune from a bet when he was awarded the Mercury Music Award His interoperation of Leonard Cohens If It Be Your Will is something else.. One of the great vocalists of today.. Hes Australian no ? He did a duet with Boy George on a track called You Are My Sister.. Its a banger ! You are more right than you know with your transitioning observation. The album is called Fr Today I Am A Boy and is an homage to transitioning

Although I like the timbre of the singer's voice, there is too much vibrato which sounds unnatural. I remember Adam Straughan saying he doesn't like exaggerated vibrato, so I wonder whether he's gonna remark on it. But that's a spoiler, so don't tell him about it...
