In my opinion, this is their best song ever. It's a shame, they don't have any other song similar to this one... :(

Kaori Stomp has a really similar style. If you're looking for songs that use Jets n Guns motives, check out Rise, Reanimator and Sid Icarus.

@uzor123 For an instrumental version, look up "dududub dududum" by Machinae, and also "Machinaeguns" by them. The opening is Machinaeguns and dududub dududum is the mainly the riff to this song.

@cumbrumpster It's off the underground version of Redeemer. They first released it without a label, then they got signed by Spinefarm which removed this song from the album.

My favourite machinae track by far. When it was removed from the commercial release of the album I knew that the machinae that I loved was dead.
@cloudstrifex882 жыл бұрын
That and they ruined the mixing on the album completely, same with DXM v2. I would argue Phantom Shadow was the first one that had decent mixing since Redeemer Underground... maybe View from the End of the World which was decent mixing I guess. But yeah it's weird. DXM v1 was amazing, Redeemer Underground was amazing and arguably their highest point in terms of overall song writing. Then their style changed to something I can't really describe. Odd vocals, terrible drum mixing, and just an odd song writing style that made a lot of their songs start to blend together where Robert just sounds the same in almost every song.
@redeoghan2 жыл бұрын
@@cloudstrifex88 Yes yes and yes. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. They completely changed after Redeemer Underground. Empire blew my mind as a fan since their online only releases. Then, nothing. It's highly symbolic that it wasn't included in the regular release. I suppose they bowed down before their gods and payed the price.
@Juuhazan_ Жыл бұрын
They grew up and went from being actual nerds to pop culture caricatures of a nerd. That's why they started singing about KZbin and Facebook and Anonymous - all very nerdy, but not exactly underground or counterculture. You can see this by comparing Attack Music with We Are The Ones Who Will Change The World. Both are ostensibly fight songs, but only one has the raw spirit of a pissed-off teenager.

3 year old comment, fuck it. Most songs for Jets'n'guns were ripped from redeemer, not the other way around. An obvious exception is flight of the toyota, which later became sid icarus. riffs from Empire were used in "dududub dududum" as well as xoxx/machinaeguns .
@TheBypasser5 жыл бұрын
@@JadeIsBunny Weird shit. I tried Wiki and it says J'n'G was released before the recording of Redeemer, which feels strange as I clearly remember playing J'n'G pretty early yet already having listened to the Redeemer album!
@JadeIsBunny5 жыл бұрын
@@TheBypasser It's strange, but that's how it is. The songs are usually written several months before the album release, sometimes an unfinished song can last years before making it on an album. A self-published video game OST is probably faster on the release
@TheBypasser5 жыл бұрын
@@JadeIsBunny I know. The reason I found it all weird is that I clearly remember how I first recognized The Empire song in the in-game theme, most likely not vice versa, which proofs you right on your old comment yet leaves some mystery around it :)
@JadeIsBunny5 жыл бұрын
@@TheBypasser I kinda agree. I still think of Empire as a "medley", rather than dududub/xoxx/machinaeguns as "rips". If that makes sense. Not because of the actual chronology, but because of what I happened to have heard first.
