Btw, first strike is based on entering champion combat (not dealing dmg). So your 'w' puts you in combat, though obviously doesn't benefit directly from the first strike dmg increase or gold gain until the mark is consumed. First strike only lasts for 3 seconds, but 'w' mark lasts for 4. So you could trigger first strike with your 'w' but get no actual benefit from it if you don't dmg them (aside from the 5g for triggering it).
