The Vice team has arranged an arms sales bust on Ocean Drive, but the dealers are running late. Seeing that there are too many civilians in the area, Castillo attempts to call the operation off. But, at that moment, the dealers arrive with a huge M60 machine gun in the van.
From Miami Vice Season 1 Episode 7 'No Exit': Crockett and Tubbs reluctantly help government agents in their pursuit of a dangerous arms dealer.

I love the character of Lt Castillo, he was the reason why I got into law enforcement. Back when there was protests at the Roosevelt Roads Naval Station there was a group of VIPs that came to trespass into the base and got detained, the vips included Sharpton, congressman Gutierres, a Kennedy and Edward Olmos among other. When we (Deputies US Marshals) were getting them arrested (the Navy cannot arrest you, they can detain you) pictures were taken, I told my partner that Olmos needed a few additional pictures taken, he asked me why and I asked Olmos that I was a fan of Lt Castillo and asked him if it was ok to have a picture taken with him and told him the reason I became a deputy. He laughed and consent to the picture. So I have a picture of Edward Olmos and I. For that picture I was suspended for 5 days for deputy unbecoming, but it was well worth it 😂😂😂😂, I retired from the Marshals Service on 31 December 2017. Best regards from San Juan, Puerto Rico, stay safe.
