It's part of the soundtrack of my life. I was learning to play guitar when this song came out. I saw the video late at night on USA and taped it. There were only a handful of kids at my high school that listened to this stuff. I'm from a small town in Arkansas.

One of the best drummers too. Shit from Chris Contos, Charlie Benante, Mike Portnoy. Damn we had it good guys, growing up in this musical era. Nowadays, some of the drummers are beasts as well, but I feel like the songs don't have as much passion. Maybe I'm just old now and forgot how to properly appreciate music, I don't know. But here's to everyone who appreciates some good metal music.

So true. 51 here, no family. But that first one hits, brings me to my youth. "I'll beat fuk out of anyone" 😅 I'm a London boy in Calgary. Top tune... have to smoke my friend. He got cremated. A pice of him in my lungs.

First time listening back in 1995…their music is far beyond the time…followed by their 2nd album…so damn heavy…and still listening today…

Burn my Eyes is still their best record. Its just so raw and violent.

Indeed, almost impossible to reach that intensity again. The guys were pissed off back then

I used to think that, but I honestly now believe The Blackening is the best. Even heavier and relentless imo

I first discovered this album back in 2002, 8 years after its release in '94. Back then that seemed like it was an eternity ago. Now I look back 8 years, the year was 2011. It doesn't seem that long ago. Unto the Locust was released... My point is time flies faster the older you get. LIVE DAMN IT!!

In early 2020, seeing MH play Burn My Eyes live for its 25th anniversary was the perfect high point to hold onto and look forward to again with hope, as the pandemic hit right after. Meeting MH from then and now was awesome too. Can't get enough of this timeless masterpiece of an album. When Davidian came out, Chris Kontos' drums were the first explosion to my face, then everything else (sharp rifs, voice, lyrics, distinct MH distortions, epic bass lines...) just submerged and hooked me for life. 🖤
