Easily one of the best debut metal records ever, the production.....particularly the drums was just insane for 1994. This song has nothing to do with the davidian event. Davidian used to be someone who was able to rise above the environment of pain, poverty and hate and make something positive out of it. That’s what the abstract lyrics of this song are about. Strenght from within.

One band that I've really liked over the years. Things just never really fell in place so that I could go check em out live...thus far anyway. But, I understand that you have "issues" with some (Speed/Thrash/Grind Metal bands etc, etc). I'm now on the downside of my 50's, hardcore music fan, and have been to over two hundred shows since I was old enough to care. I feel comfortable in saying that there's a very minute number of bands out there that are serious about some of their more nefarious lyrics, their songwriting, and actually do "practice what they preach" as well. But, the vast majority of bands simply use/employ their sometimes dark flavored lyrics, personas, wardrobes, and stage shows as nothing more than smart marketing strategy that's intended to build up whatever type of "shtick" or "gimmick-ery" they've chosen to help them try and be successful. Also, you can take the vast majority of lyrics "tongue-in-cheek." There's no real life-lesson, life-changing, type of "message" that's held within most of em. Breathe bro, breathe lol...

Brother I'm going to share words that a youth pastor with a similar fondness for metal shared with me. If you only went to Church on Sunday and just listened to the pastor and did NOTHING else is that enough to say your saved and are walking with Jesus? Point is, If your faith is strong enough and is built on a strong foundation then there's really nothing you can hear that will change it. I understand the garbage in garbage out theory but I've heard many different metal bands talk about their thoughts on religion and my faith in God and what Jesus did for all of us has never changed.
