It most certainly is! I saw them perform in the UK back in May I think it was and then had this in their set list and it was fantastic. I've always somewhat admired the softer side of Machine Head but I also love the fact that the band really go for it. Since I've done this video I dove right back into the world of Through The Ashes of Empires and have been listening to it ever since. Hope that you enjoyed the video my friend! All the best! T

24 hours ago, I was about to see them for the 3rd time. I scored a setlist from Phil, and a pick, and a msg from him today on my Instagram ☺😀😎

Hey Beth! That is fucking awesome!! You must be over the moon, what a trifecta of things to happen. I've never actually met any of the members of Machine Head. I would love to be able to have a chat with Robb. Its been pretty incredible to see all that he's given to the Metal community and I applaud him for standing out, for example with the whole racism with Phil Anselmo type deal. Either way though, that's awesome! I hope you enjoyed the video and it rounded off your Machine Head experience nicely :) Thanks so much for watching!

TheMetalTris I appreciate your enthusiasm and sharing my joy. I wish I could personally meet them all, I would love to hug Robb, I have a big lifelong crush on him. But I can barely afford tickets to the shows (under $100 Aus) let alone the VIP meet and greet package (well over $100) I hope they come back again in a few years as they have never left Perth out of their regular world tours, the most isolated city in the world where I live. I'll be getting the VIP tickets for sure. I'm going to watch your video again, I was glad KZbin suggested this. You rock \m/😎

Through the Ashes of Empires was one of the first metal albums I ever heard and god damn it it was a great intro to the genre.

AT VERY FAKIN LAST!give this monster of an album some credit. Through the Ashes of Empires well may be the best MH ever!the sound here is fenomenal-everything sounds so mush organic and physical.song-writing is top-notch and heavy riffing af! top album for sure.

Hey meshuggener667! Too bloody right! Its one of the most overlooked I think in Metal at times. I think you're very right about the organic nature of the album and I love that it was setting the ground work for The Blackening and fleshing out those more expansive ideas. I hope that you enjoyed the video though my friend and it did this crushing album justice! :)

Ashes was good. The Blackening was the best metal album since Mater of Puppets (or maybe Justice).

Loping Camshaft wtf? Have you ever listened to a little band called Death?

Not enough heart/feeling, and the lyrics of MH are more impactful, not mostly just gross out/gore/death type stuff. Now it sounds awesome, but there's too little variation in it. And it's not Chuck's fault, he was a beast, that's just the pitfall of that style. Same reason I wouldn't include Reign in Blood or Seasons.

*LOL!* Not enough variation from the fathers of progressive tech death metal. Right, I see you know a lot about this. Then, I guess everything Opeth did has no variation as well.

This an album debate, not a band debate. In terms of careers, Death was more consistent, but no Death album is as good as The Blackening. And prog tech death is a very specific genre by nature. MH has always been hard to define, which I count as a plus.

This album SUCKS. An ugly copy of PANTERA, Slipknot and Sepultura made in a very mediocre way. The singer is often not in tune. Boring and banal vocal lines. I used to love them.... what a letdown
