Why not use pipe insulation? It's basicly the same and is available in various diameters and lenghts. (And it's really cheap too)

Cool! I made a needle stopper because I am a beginner and it does help! I live in Bucks County, PA and am curious where did you find classes to take? I have the LK150 and a bulky Knit King, which is the same as the Brother bulky 260.

Mostly, I'm learning from youtube videos. There was a knitting store on Glenside, PA but they closed a few years ago. A machine knitters group met there once a month and I saw ths LK150 in work. I purchased a few machine knitting tools from a person in Bucks cty. about 3 years ago, but can't remember who that was. She gives classes, too. I'll get back to when I find the contact info.

i bought mine from the Lion Brand website 4 years ago, price was about $399. I think the machine is a higher price now.

Look for a dealer, they will give free lessons. AllBrands also sells the LK150.
