Spider Excavator on a Cliff

The walking excavators' special features are based on a sophisticated high-tech chassis and the patented boom: various hydraulic cylinders enable the all-rounder to adapt its wheels and support to any terrain. For this, in some countries, the excavator is also called a spider excavator.
Fixed tilting edges on tracked excavators can be adjusted depending on the task ahead thanks to the adjustable wheel and claw supports.
As a result, it produces lifting and ripping forces beyond those of conventional excavators. A spider excavator weighing 9.5 tons produces an output similar to that of a 20-ton tracked excavator.

For those who don't know. Excavators start as tiny seeds. Then, they grow into their larval form(the one shown on the hillside). As a larva, they clear the surrounding area for new seeds. After the ground preparation is finished. They then pupate and form a cocoon(not visible in this video). Lastly, they emerge from their cocoon as a mature excavator (show on flat ground at the bottom of the hill) that plants more seeds. The larva is the only form that clings to near vertical surfaces. It does this as a defense mechanism to avoid predation. The adult form is capable of defending itself so clinging to vertical surfaces is no longer a useful capability. The adults do frequently remain nearby to protect the larva and pupa(seen in this video).

For those that don't know this is an old camera trick...if you flip the screen you'll see that he's on level ground and the excavator on the ground is actually just a Tonka toy glued on...., it's actually the one positioned sideways....great job guys! Looks pretty real.

For those who dont know, the devs were high on acid when developing this part of the simulator and ended up accidently rotating the build plane of a construction site to match this hill. They made a bug fix in the most recent patch that allowed for excavators to scale walls to remedy this issue. 3/10 weak fix by the devs but funny to watch....honestly just cant wait till this game is actually playable
