Strong thread locking loctite should be sufficient. I mean: that stuff is used for heavy duty applications. What extra abuse will a handle ball experience?? No need to ruin your beautiful finish with a hole

At 23:30 Adam begins to show us what he has done; the finished part. It is this sort of feature of his videos that makes them so soul satisfying. Adam really knows how much we want to see the result of his master craftsmanship, and he shows us with great video, and stills. Further he takes his time so we can *see* the results without being rushed.

The last scene was the hands of a craftsman holding the work of two craftsmen. Sadly I had a H.R man call me in reference to a former employee, I told him the man was an excellent craftsman. His reply, "what's a craftsman" it hit me not only are we loosing our craftsmen we are losing the word. Good work.

Phenomenal craftsmanship, resulting in a piece of engineering beauty, at worst Loctite, but not drilling and pinning, after such care has been taken in making this item, it is not a mass produced replacement to be abused and beat on, but machined excellence to be examined and admired , as one part of a restoration project.
@xenonram
@xenonram 5 жыл бұрын
I agree with just Loctite, for the fact it's all that is necessary, but not that nonsense at the end. It's a replacement handle that will be used as a till it's meant to be.

Another great video Adam. To bad you couldn't put your company logo on the edge of the shaft where the ball screws into. That way when someone else gets the vise years down the road. When they take it apart they can read Abom79 and say who the heck is this. Kind of like a time capsule.
