Machining and Tig Welding Aluminum AN fitting to a Radiator. Machining on a lathe

Nothing fancy to see here, just some down and dirty, get it done work. We machine a custom AN fitting for an aluminum radiator. A customer dropped of a new radiator for his race car and needed an AN fitting Tig welded to the tank. We didn't have the correct fitting in stock, so we quickly adapted a different fitting in the lathe to make what we needed. This allowed us to get the job done in minuets not days. Having basic machine shop equipment available in a race car shop allows for modifying parts, making custom parts, tools and fixtures at will.

Bro , my radiator has a small leak drop every now and then and can see it runs off corner on a weld , is it fixable? It’s aluminum

Yes but welding contaminated aluminum which you can not clean the inside requires a lot of skill.
