Thank you for watching! I went in mid November last year right before they closed in late 2022. We got really lucky with the timing and had no issues.

Full disclosure… I left another comment on your Cairo video. Seemed like you were miserable there. I really appreciate how you delve into lodging, food options, and sights here. Hope you guys didn’t have any problems in Peru, we were there last year for a month, in the Valle Sagrada / Cusco region and then the Amazon. There were murmurs of this year’s unrest bubbling up. How difficult was the process of getting tickets in Aguas Callientes for Machu Picchu? I am Traveling Thursday and will be in Aguas Friday at 11am, would I go straight to the ministry of culture to get a ticket or do I get a group number and come back the next day ? Any help would be appreciated

From our experience we went directly to the office as soon as we arrived into Aguas Calientes to get a number. We used that number to back to the office (when it was open for ticket sales) that SAME day to buy tickets from the NEXT day. Hope that helps!
