A diagram showing how the cord length is measured would be super helpful

It's measured at effective length so the physical cord is a little longer to account for the conforming to the mast. Keep in mind, you can setup a motor shorter than the cord length, just slack it to the side of the mast and tape it there. -Tucker

good over view!! But its mind boggling why one wouldn’t just go with a long cord and tape up the extra when in short use.

I haven't got in the water with my equipment yet but I've reverse engineered and produced about 10 kits so far with carbon. I'm curious about how much money the foil drive battery and prop clamp cost and if there is any price drop for quantity. I think there may be a market for rentals and subsequent sales in my area... Thanks ~

Or maybe, just do the 10 inch and place it in the 8 inch position with the excess bowed out or looped once? I say that since with the FD Assist + we have to deal with excess cable length at times.

Totally, 10inch gives you the option to suck it up high in the 6-8 inch location.

Can you swap cords after purchase or are you locked into the one length you buy?
@MACkiteboarding27 күн бұрын
You an swap motor/cord combo, yes. The cord itself it fused to the motor so you cannot swap only the cord. Keep in mind you can ride the motor at a shorter length than the cord simply by slacking the cord to the side of the mast and taping it there. -Tucker

a new version of the motor pod is coming (had been 'announced') which will have swappable cables.
