My grandmother just died at the age of 82. The last few weeks of her life i spent a lot of hours beside her side. The last day of her life she wasn't able to respond anymore, she was to weak. When I arrived at her house (my family was already there) i took her hand and i told her that i was here, that we (my family) were here and that is was oke, that she could find her rest. She died very peacefully that evening. I'm very grateful to have known her and to have inhereted some of her characteristics. At night when i can't sleep i think of her putting her hand om my shoulder and i fall asleep. Grandmother i love you!

My grandmother passed away last night. I've spent the entire day, saying the last goodbye with my family. Helen (his grandma) is still alive and well. She’s turning 103 in July. She’s gone through 2 world wars. If she can go through that, we can get through isolation. Stay home and keep your grandparents safe. Edit: Back to give my thoughts after reading all those replies - She turned 103 on July 6th, yes she was born nearing the end of WWI, she still had to suffer post war with so much depression from others around her, and can you all stop arguing in this comment section about the stupidest stuff

I fucking miss my grandma She cooked with love, her meals so divine, The reason I’d return, time after time. Through every struggle, her words would stay, “It’s okay, you did your best today.” A self-taught soul, so wise and strong, Reading books where she didn’t belong. At 80, she’d text with a youthful spark, A Hawaiian pizza was her hallmark. Every Saturday, her calls brought cheer, But now the silence feels so near. She dreamed of the sea, its waves to roam, But time had kept her close to home. Her life’s lesson, now crystal clear, Do what you love while you’re still here. Grandma, your wisdom, your warmth, your light, Forever with me, day and night.

@MsSmileyOne1 Жыл бұрын
This video is so sweet. I heard this song at the gym today, and those lyrics jumped out at me, too. So deep and profound, and what each of us needs to consider before it's too late. Yes, we die the first time when they place us in the grave. Then, each of us will stand before a Sovereign, Holy God, and if our name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 3:5), Jesus will speak our name, and we will enter into eternity in heaven with Jesus. Anyone who is not written in the Lamb's book of life will stand before a Holy, Righteous God at the Great White Throne judgment and be sentenced to eternity in hell and eternal separation from God (the second death). Revelation 20:11-15 The good news is you don't have to worry if you're good enough or if you've done enough good things or more good than bad. Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood paid the price for all who choose to give their lives to Him. And, through His Resurrection, He defeated death, sin and Satan once and for all. That free gift of salvation and security in knowing your name is permanently written in the Lamb's Book of Life is available to all who repent/turn from their sins and follow Christ and submit to His perfect, loving authority. When you repent of your sins and submit to Christ's authority, you give Him your soul, and He safeguards it for all eternity. You are His child. It's what the Bible refers to as being "born again." John 3:3 Born once = Die twice Born twice = Die once
