Macklemore Goes Sneaker Shopping With Complex

Macklemore burst onto the sneaker scene last year, thanks to his close ties with Jordan Brand, and received several of his own limited-edition Air Jordans. A year has gone by, Macklemore has been featured in our magazine, and he recently visited Recess in Seattle, his hometown, with Joe La Puma for the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping.
In the episode, Macklemore talks about everything from his first Air Jordans, beating sneakers into the ground, and the design process of making his own sneakers.

this is probably my favorite episode of sneaker shopping, it's nice to see someone who's high up in media culture who cares a lot about the quality of the shoes, it's not often you see someone like this, a lot of times people buy shoes just to stunt, but me, I buy high quality sneakers and set the trends. anyways good on mackelmore for his view on sneaker culture.

Ngl I used to think Macklemore was pretty lame, didn’t think his music was that great etc. but after seeing him in interviews and learning a little bit about his story, I have a newfound respect for him for sure.
