Great video- this really helps :). However, can we do the same thing with other functions like e^x cos x and not just functions in which a basic polynomial such as x^2 is multiplied with cos x?

It is a truly beautiful reversal indeed! In the beginning, we used higher derivatives to find power series representations of functions, but now, we obtained a power series representation for a function in a slick and indirect way and then use it to find higher derivatives of the original function at x=0.
