The obsidian structures that you found in the video, is actually an "ancient" nether portl. you can rebuild the potal from the obsidian that you find there. but you can't use the "crying obsidian" which is the slightly different looking, even more purple version of obsidian. (This is Emma btw the person that gives you minecraft advice! I recently revamped my entire channel!) Ps: The portal usually contains randomized loot inside of a chest next to the portal. The loot can range from amazing loot to very poor quality loot inside.

@@MacNcheeseP1z Crying obsidian is for crafting a spawn anchor wich you can only use in the Nether, and you can use glow stone for "gass" for the spawn anchor. The spawn anchor helps players respond in the Nether when they die, so make sure to learn how to craft a spawn anchor and get glow stone so that when you die in the Nether you wouldn't respond in the overworld and lose all progress. Ps: Crying obsidian can also serve as a decorative block! (it has a cool dripping animation)

3:45 that is a ruined portal btw. They came out in the nether update. 6:16 that is a magma cube btw. They were always there. And also u can eat raw stuff but VERY rarely it will poison or low hunger you btw. And no it does not cook on magma cubes.
