Louisiana, 1954: Brothers Chris & Wayne Dixon (Alan Vint and Jesse Vint) are joyriding through the South before enlisting in the Army. What I am finding "wild" in this day when it comes to Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray is how it's difficult to date movies by looking at them. The quality of the image is outstanding.

@@delcrowe9712 yeah, I knew his dad was a mega famous boxer....even accidently killed a guy in the ring. Just curious....the story line here. What would be the sheriff's motivation for being so hostile. The kids didn't look like beat-nics, civil rights workers or trouble makers. I haven't seen this film in years. Or....was the film just trying to convey the dangerous under-current of these small towns. What do you think?

@@inkey2 , in the movie, some criminals break into the sheriff's house and kill and rape his wife. He mistakes an innocent trio of young people passing through as the culprits. He seeks his revenge on them.

Since his Dad was once Heavy Weight Champion of the world and actually killed a man in the ring, I wouldn't mess around with Max Baer Jr. I always thought he was imposing as Jethro in spite of his goofy demeanor. It just goes to show how great actors are.

Just watch the movie Nightmare in Badham County for what could have happened if the sheriff were truly malevolent and merciless towards vagrants, drifters, hobos, hippies, yippies, druggies, bums, winos, punk rockers and just plain harmless outsiders passing through. Or, at least what he perceived to be those types of people.
