Macrame Plant Hanger Tutorial on Making Pot Hanger

We can apply the Macrame technique to create a wide variety of useful products. One of them is Macrame Plant Hanger. In this video, I discuss how to make a Macrame Plant Hanger. The plant hanger that we will make is Macrame Plant Hanger with ring. By following this one tutorial, you can simultaneously learn the 5 basic macrame knots that are most often used, namely: Larks Head Knot, Square Knot, Double Half Hitch Knot and Spiral Knot.
The materials that must be prepared to make this Plant Hanger are:
1. 4 mm cotton rope, cut 330 cm long, totaling 12 strands
2. 4 mm cotton rope, cut 60 cm long, as much as 1 strand.
3. Wooden Ring with a diameter of 5 cm. (If you don't have one, you can replace it with a metal ring or wooden dowel)
4. Scissors
Macrame Plant Hanger is suitable for your room or patio decoration. You can put your favorite potted plant in it so that your room looks more beautiful. The final result of this Macrame Hanging Pot is 75 cm.

Dear Trini, could you pleace specify which kind of rope/cord have yoiu used for this wonderful plant hanger? I would like to make it but I am not sure should the rope be 3 mm, 44 mm or 5 mm and I haven't noticed such an information in your video... Thank yo in adavance for your replay.

If all i have is 2mm cord can i make this the way you did or would i have to add in extra rope and how do i know how much extra to add?

if using a 2 mm rope, the pattern size will be smaller than the original. Perhaps you can increase the number of strings to 16 or 20 threads. So you can make 8 or 10 Square knots in the first row. Likewise, when making spiral knots, you can make them using 6 or 8 ropes. and more importantly when making a section of the net for the place to put the pot. Use double the amount of rope to make it stronger. Just adjust it with the available straps.
