This is a beautiful piece but, very unorganized with the cords. It was very hard to tell which cord was being picked up from the center which were the wrapping cords. Cords were everywhere, and scattered. quite challenging in some spots. Still a beautiful leaf.

Oh It depends on the length of the cord, the type of cord you use, and how big or small you want it to be. In this video, I used 12 polyester cords (0.5mm) with each cord length: 60cm
