DIY Macrame Pods | Macrame Pot Hanger | Macrame Plant Hanger Tutorial

Hello everyone. Today I want to show you how to make macrame pods!
You need:
4 cords 150 cm length (3 mm thick)
4 cords 130 cm length (3 mm thick)
4 cords 110 cm length (3 mm thick)
4 cords 100 cm length (3 mm thick)
4 cords 90 cm length (3 mm thick)
2 cords 80 cm length (3 mm thick)
One ring 5 cm diameter
Pod height: 15 cm
Pod width: 8 cm
Pot height: 11 cm
Pot diameter: 6 cm

It all depends on the size of the pot you want to take. Multiply the length of the pot by 8 and multiply by 2, as the threads fold in half. Get the approximate length of the central cords. For subsequent cords, reduce the length by 5 cm each time. Gather the cords until the two halves close on the pot. This is an example calculation. Much depends on the density and diameter of the thread. Better take it with a margin.

Once you join the 2 sides of the pod, how many times do you go around making the square knots to make the pocket for the pot? I think I counted 6 times, but I'm not sure.

I make 5 rows and starting from the 6th row I start to reduce the threads and connect through the knot.

The thread consumption is approximately the following: 1 cm of the product x 5. Estimate the height of the pot, multiply by 5. Add the length for the top of the product (it is better to take at least half the height of the pot). Multiply everything by 2 (because the strands fold in half) These will be the longest strands. Then hang with shortening of the threads. The amount is difficult to calculate. But I would advise you to make a planter of a different type for such a large pot.

Yes, you need to add the number of threads and increase the length. If you are a beginner, then I advise you to first make a pot of this size. Learn from easier lessons. Then you can calculate how long to take the threads for larger pots. Measure what size thread is needed per 1 cm of the product. Hola hermoso trabajo. Si quiero hacer uno para una matera más grande que debo hacer? Agregar al aro inicial más de 4 hebras? o a los hilos laterales agregar más de lo que vemos en el video? Otra cosa, veo que al final sobra bastante cuerda, entonces podemos trabajar hasta 4 o 5 cm menos de las medidas iniciales para no desperdiciar. .. gracias

El consumo depende del grosor y la rigidez de los hilos, por lo que algunos pueden tener puntas, mientras que otros pueden no tener suficientes. Si desea hacer una maceta más grande, aumente la longitud de todos los hilos y coloque más hilos a los lados.
