Wow, I tried. I guess this is not for beginners after all 😂 edited: I looked for alternative clips for double half hitch knot and felt like I got it, so I decided to come back here to gave this another try, and this time I did it! (with the slowest playback speed lol) I pulled it quite tight and the length of the cords turned out to be enough, so glad I pushed through!

Nice tutorial! Thank you for sharing! Though I came across some issues. In the description, 2x30 cm should be replaced by 4 x 30 cm. I also guess you measured the cords starting from what remained at the end of the work. I suspect cords in the video to be way longer than what's in the description: I ended up with some very short stub (1-3 cm) before the last row of hitching knots that made impossible to finish the work. I would also add to the description the short cord at the beginning and the one you use to bind everything together at the end. Just in case one buys to size for this and other projects. Thanks

Very frustrating. I’ve done a lot of videos and they always turned out well. Your measurements are way off and it made it impossible to finish. Time and yarn wasted. I’m not happy at all.

I too had same problem. Since it was my 1st macrame, I had to go to another video to make knots clearer to understand. But thankful there is a video like this nonetheless

At 2:38 you say to attach a cord on each side but you don't say which cord. Also, did you correct the mistake pointed out be a comment below, concerning the instructions to use the wrong lengths? Is there a place where I can find the corrected and thorough instructions?

Hi, I ended up with some short cords as well, but I grabbed a longer cord to make most of the knots... it's not ideal, but it worked. Not sure which ones should be longer.

I marked all the cords... and the shortest ones are 1mt. Ones. Also the 1.60 should be 1.70 . Hope this helps ❤ I made the 4 60cms 70cms and theb4 30cm 50

I cut all the pieces to the length suggested but it was too short. I couldnt do the last set of swaure nots or hitch knots. Does anyone know how much more cord is needed? Would love to try this again before christmas

Agreed. I think my issue was that I used 3mm as well. Too short of cords so I just improvised the bottom.

You can use any size cord. The bigger the cord you increase the lengths. I would add 12inches, to be safe, on each cord. Would rather have too much than not enough.

I do like the tree you made but it would be nice if a) the cord lengths were correct and b) you noted the lengths of each cord used at each step. I know how to do the knots and will try and figure it out.

You should try with a 4mm cord.. I don't have that kind of cord.

I would double the lengths as it is double the thickness, any scraps at the end can always be used for tassels and leaves and feathers

Если шнур берете 4мм, тогда как минимум на 25% прибавляйте длину нитей к рекомендованной автором. Иначе елку не закончите или придется подвязывать нити
