Wow... this is the first video I have watched of yours... I found it fascinating and truly entertaining! Here in Australia I have shot the Micena Sp shrooms. They do appear to like the very moist fallen trees, but don't appear unless said tree has a thick covering of green moss, presumably to retain moisture. These little shrooms wilt within a day or so usually, from my experience.

It hasn’t been a good year for Fungi here in Ireland. Hopefully end of autumn it will improve and hopefully I’ll get a chance to get out again. Great to hear from a fellow fungi photographer - that’s a tongue twister! Really appreciate you taking time to watch and comment Jimmy

Hi Y Frân, Thanks for the comment. I need a little magic in some of those images! We were in the Brocéliande forest last year in Brittany - would be great at this time of year for woodland photography. There was a special atmosphere there and I'm aware there are the associations with Guinevere and Merlin in this landscape. Jimmy

Thanks Dave, It’s a Novoflex rail - great engineering but I haven’t used it much this year for manual stacks. See Robert Thompson’s Photography website - great articles on macro image making and equipment. Jimmy
