Macro photography without macro lens

You don’t need a dedicated macro lens to get started in macro photography. With the addition of a simple, cheap accessory, the reversing ring, you can use your existing lens for macro photography.
For example if you are a Canon DSLR user, and have a an old 24-70mm lens with manual aperture ring you can achieve macro ratio of approximately 3:1

Hi! I have a fullframe sony a7rii camerabody. I install canon fd 50mm objective with reverse ring on it. why magnification is not 1:1?

It will depend on the distance the objective is from the sensor.
