Ya I dig your content , the build is incredible in some scenario's , better than previous patches. I just find it's not great for soloing hell, compared to some other classes. I have some decent gear as well. Even rolled a near perfect flickering flame.

I think you can buy +3 enchant staffs from Dognan (Act Normal 2) at level 13+. If you can find a two socketed one, you can make the Leaf runeword out of it and use for pre-buffing.

You can even shop a +3 Enchant Gnarled Staff from Act 2 Normal and Larzuk it for a guaranteed 4 sockets every time. Then you can make a Memory, +3 Sorc Skills & +3 Energy Shield

This season I went solo and took the chill road. I've been following your build since the start of ladder and litterally I have dropped every part of the build. Demon machine, Razortail, Ravenfrost and Magefist. Even in my first 10 LK runs I got a Vex. Now the problem is I rolled the best map's ever and cant get my self to respec into the build. Mac, I highly recommend you revisit budget setups with an Act 1 Fire Rogue Mercenary. From my testing A1 Rogue vastly outperforms the A2 Merc when it comes to damage output prior to Infinity, and you don't even need Mist + Flicker. I'd be keen to see you dive into these options in a future video. I run my A2 Rogue with the following on current Ladder (Eth Treachery + Wisdom/Cure + Kuko : For TZ Farming) (Eth Treachery + 3 Skill Insight Bow + Wisdom/MF Helm : For fast MF farming where I need mana for teleport)

I always watch whatever you put out. Great content and my game has never been better. I play nonladder so it's much easier to attain relatively good items in general so I can only speak to that. I think the challenge is the lack of resistances. I opted for a kiras and viper personally and have my merc use kuko with wisdom and treachery for effectively double the enchant output. With both our weapons having a nef rune most things don't come close and it's easy to reposition with teleport. To get the ias, I like cats eye amulet and use hotspurs as it helps tremendously with the sunder. It is pretty good up to p5 as well. It's pretty doable with 70 fcr. the rare rings are probably the hardest part to find.

You can shop +2 to sorceress skills + 3 to enchant staves. We shop those all the time on Classic for our Enchantresses.

Example: Before you cast enchant on yourself and your merc, you swap to gear that gives you more plus skills like his ormus robes. Cast your enchant, and then swap back to the gear you normally wear to go farm with. The increased enchant etc. will stick even when you swap back to your usual load out. You could even buff yourself with all your skillers and dump them into your stash and still keep the stat gains for whatever buff you've used. This does not apply to stats such as res, faster cast etc. Those are always affected by what you have equipped. Does that help at all?

Didn't bother even making flickering flame, no prebuffs, I do have infinity on the merc so he's pimped out. My build is far from min maxed ... and she pretty much go anywhere. Everytime I see a single powerful monster I ugghhh because I want closely packed monsters. Funny

Thx for uploading this video my friend. I understand now why demon machine and razor tail is so important to make the build work. For the 99% peircing attack. I have other bows that have explosion arrows or bolts on them. But they dont have the peircing attack. I now know why they would probably suck. I have a vex pul to make flickering flame and a fire sunder charm. Just need to get a demon machine and razor tail at this point, and I will be all set to swap out from blizzard sorc, as I also traded for an anni. Edit, I also found a +3 fire amulet, another vex and a pul, made a hoto and have a cold sunder charm, so my blizzard sorc is farming pretty fast now. Probably gonna stay as blizzard sorc until I find lots of gear before I make the swap.

Stuff isn't nearly as budget after all the youtube videos :P For real though, props for shining some light on one of the more fun builds in the game. I knew I was building one as soon as I saw the patch notes because I'd messed around with a similar build years ago on LOD for the lulz. Now it's just unironically good but gear like 15% Enchant Ormus has gone through the roof in value. My mostly geared "pew pew sorc" murders everything and that's w/ a crappy flickering flame, mid eschuta and low ormus and no fire facets. Can't wait to get it fully optimized as the season continues.

In the maxed out version you have a skin of the vipermagi with a facet vs here you have ormus (besides the wealth). Is the skin or the ormus (with facet) better for damage (obvsiouly other stats are better for vmagi)? Does the +1 skill outweigh a certain % fire damage?

Kukp is pretty sub par because you can't get even close to the 11 frame attack speed of demon machine without investing a LOT into IAS

Macro you the man. You are a d2 genius. Can you test metalgrid iron golem with hustle weapon. My question with it is could it be a way to have both insight/infinity/pride might merc with an easy access to fanaticism. Would the attack speed be enough to leech and stay alive with BoS and fana?

Your IG will die a decent amount but no more or less than an Insight golem. If you're not on a Necro it won't work.

Give the Koku a shot if that is what you have. It’s not as good as Demon Machine but has been historically viable on bow Enchantress builds prior to Patch 2.6. Also has a possibility to fire faster with enough IAS as crossbows are just a slower base weapon vs bows. Still has 50% pierce, so with razor tail gets you to 83% pierce. Super easy to get one too.

Just spitballing here but how about the weapon Skystrike and its % chance to cast Meteor on striking? I know its only 2% chance but if you max out Meteors synergies and FM youd maybe get decent dmg? And then ofc enchant and all that

Damn thanks for the build just hit 13k at LVL 75 was wondering how is this build for dueling. I know you don't do PvP but if you did what would be a good gearset. Had died in chaos and they took my gold and potions so I hostiles the whole group and they were going to team kill me long story short I killed 4vs1 I did have my Merc but he died fast but so did they lol. Was LVL 73 and they were 87ish. Don't steal my pots!

I made my hc sorc into this wwith following gear: Shako, Tal amu, Skulders, Magefist, Demon machine, Razortail, WT boots, Fcr ring, Raven ring - no torch no anni, no skillers. I only got 4.2k dmg - can someone explain why it doesnt go higher? I also prebuf with a memory staff with +9 ES.

The Kuko is only giving her Pierce chance, since the Fires Exploding bolts/arrows doesn't work on mercenaries. If you run her and self wield Infinity she does a LOT of heavy lifting with your static when you outfit her correctly.

Not a bad idea. It doesn't really help against this build's best farming areas and then the merc can't Leech. But it is an option.

How important is the 63 FCR breakpoint for the swap? I'm currently using a Leaf instead of an Enchant Memory so I'm at 60% FCR, unless I were to replace either my Razortail, Raven Frost, Boots (using Aldurs atm) or my Mara's amulet

"important" is dependent on you. How slow do you want to farm, determines the importance.

I play this build too. Everytime I am in public game ppl are like wtf is ur build? :))) its epic. Atm I am at lvl 82, my dmg is 5844-7322, my gear is Lore, Skin of vipermagi with -5/+4 (this is actually huge, cant wait to get flickering flames), magefists, raven frost, rare belt with some resists, 10fcr ring with triple res, sandstorm, +2fire skill amulet - off hand for prebuff I use dual spirit (126fcr) - so TP and static on off hand is really nice and fast, I have 4skillers and -72sunder. My resists are -80fire, cold -6, light res +42, poison +25. I did put points very badly on my ES. Now I am increasing my static to 16yards radius - I should have done it first). In two hours I will get my first anni. And still have ohm to buy any sorc torch - but noone is selling :( My tips: razortail is really must ! There is huge difference when it pierce and when it doesnt. For off hand I think if u get 105fcr you are really great and I am kinda searching for ES for memory. My goal how to get it is: to get 35fcr on spirit sword, and 10fcr on amulet + magefist + vipermagi + 1x ring. When i find FCR amulet I will also drop spirit shield - for lidless - so I can put more points into vitality. I have no clue how u have 800life, 600mana... I am stuck at 645/337. I die only when I TP right in the middle. Locations I clear I walk, but with 105FCR I feel really safe to TP any location. Atm I dont use merc, because I found eth 4os chaos armor and it needs higher lvl for my merc to wear it. I also respect as soon as I got my demon machine it was around lvl 60. Whats epic with this build is that to max dmg you only need 3skills at lvl 20. Before I had fully maxed fireball build. And demon machine dmg after swap I had feeling like it was double dmg. With any new gear I have the feeling like I am in nightmare diff. Sunder with that -5/4 (cost me ist) can kill immunes pretty fast. The only problem if u have only demon machine is ur survivability. When I got to baal hell it was on public game and it was chaotic, but my bolts were actually highest dmg in game and there were ppl even 10-15lvls above me. +1 skills is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, I cant stress enough how well this build is getting stronger and stronger with any new gear. The only problem are resists especially poison resists. If I am hit it takes like second to bring my life to 1 and I rather go to town to heal. I was kinda lucky that I found early in season claws with +3PS and I sold it for HR. This build is really really fun to play and considering static, 105FCR TP, energy shield and max warmth. Its way better and cheaper than bowa (last season I made bowa with all BiS gear so I dare to say I know what I am talking about, I am huge bowa fan). I think I will go act5 merc with dual plague (RWs are cheaper than infinity and act5 is better tank).

I love enchantresses. In fact, I'm playing mine right now. So stoked for the buff, as well as access to Sunder charms. The Gladiator's Bane is a fairly cheap source of CBF that you could trade for that has the added benefit of synergizing very well with ES.

Blizzard needs lean in to this sort of builds more and make so gear to help them out more! There are plenty of items just sitting there unused, fix them up a bit and give them flavor so they can land them self more to some nice builds like upgraded Ribcracker with a shael rune being one of the best weapons for shapeshifter druids! :D
