Another Wandering spider for the Beastie Room , this time the Black Fang so little is known about these spiders due to them being quit new to the hobby, treated with some respect and we show the are not so bad, but respect must be given at all times as these are fast and can be defensive if upset.

Because they become more than just a spider. I am a big man and my first spider was a red knee. She passed away after molt. I figured she didn't come out of her area because she didn't want to. She became dehydrated. There are signs I should have noticed but as my first spider I didn't know. Now I do. I buried her in a plexiglass small enclosure that I then siliconed it shut. I have her molts put into a picture frame and its the first thing you see with her name on it when you go into my spider room. I called her Charlotte for Charlotte's web. She was so beautiful and I think of her every so often. People become attached to things they care for.

Thank you for not killing the steatoda, most ppl in our country don't like them but I keep them I have only ever found 3 females in my house as I live in the North east but they make amazing webs and they are so fun to feed when they wrap pray with those little back legs it's comical. So as a steatoda fan I say thank you 😊 Also that wandering spider was stunning and huge , that colour combo on her amazing. 🤞 for the egg sac and as always great upload Dave, Camera Lady 😊

HOLY WOW! That is definitely one impressive spider. If I saw that spider eyes light up in the dark and then see its long legs, I would run. For me, that is the scariest spider I've ever seen. It has such long pedipalps and long black legs. With that gold carapace, I would think it was one of the mythical gods. 💙💙💙💙💙

My cousin had a black fang wanderer a few years ago, when he got her and had setup her enclosure, he later found out that he had a wild spider guest, which he thinks was somewhere on the bark he put in, he cant remember which spider it was but it was a pretty docile spider, which ended up as an early lunch for the black fang.

9:49: I've lived in California, so seeing anything Widow-ish, makes me wake up real fast.😄🤦‍♂️ That False Widow runs way faster than the real deal, tho. Black Widows nearly waddle on flat surfaces!😄 But in their webs, they are super efficient.

Wow, what a little beauty, I can imagine her colours it is difficult to see them through the camera! I have never seen a false widow in the flesh only through books, it is so bloody cold and wet in wales they have packed up their belongings and moved to England. Hi Dave. First time to comment on your page, I think the plant you put in was Euonymous, I remember dealing with those yonks ago! I'm going to be plain here Dave, I'm not a great fan of spiders, actually quite a fear towards them! But I have watched a lot of your videos, and I find them fascinating and some are very pretty in colours. And yes I will venture to say, that you have made me feel more comfortable about spiders, so thank you. And that is something I thought I would never hear myself say. Hello Dave. Regarding ferns, they often do well with humidity and don't like a lot of heat. They also need to be watered often. I know that you have the drainage layer and moisture comes through, but, they might need more direct watering. Ferns also don't often like a lot of direct light. I have a wicked amazing green thumb and at least that has been my experience. Thanks and praise from Peterborough Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️

That is one beautiful, phenomenal looking spider. Dave, could you try and get a discount code for the spider shop or external? I'm in serious need of some more enclosures lol. I use LED lighting (the ones that you can change the colour) and keep it on red in the evening and night when I wanna watch them and can watch them for hours when it's red. I recieved a sub adult, after it molted out as an AF, I saw it maybe three times over a 7 month period before I found it in a death curl.

They are so Big! Wonderful. Wish you luck with that Pair. And People, no, there not noted as dangerous to us, but to handle with caution when bigger as all of the Genus. Brazillian Wandering Spider and some of the same Group out of Central and South America are the Ones wich can get you into Trouble. We have a lot of Brown Pearls alike your Widow, Family, I think. They are everywhere in the Greenhouses and sonetimes have 3 or more Sacks with them. They and Uloborus Plumipes are dominating the warm Houses Webbing Places.
