This is just a initial setup and config video. You said in future video you would talk about all the settings and what they mean. There are lots of videos talking about the basic setup. We need real world configuration examples like what did you do on the job that this video was based?? Fine tuning TX power, frequencies, airOS tools, alignment, airview, etc... Please make video about details that will help.

I’m interested in any follow videos that you may have made that go into more detail of the various switches and settings that you didn’t go into o this video. I’m trying to set up a similar bridge like you have here but for now just one receiving antenna. I need to join this bridge to my current WiFi and have the bridge pass all my lan and VLAN networks I currently have so. Thanks for helping me locate your follow up videos.

Thanks for the video! I'm wondering if you may be able to help me out with two issues...I have a PrismStation 5AC that I want to connect to two Loco 5AC. Currently it's set to Access Point on, PtP mode on. It's connected to a one of the Loco 5ACs and works well. The 1st Loco is set to Access Point off and PtP on. But, I can't get the second one to connect even though it found the SSID. I'm assuming that this is because I need to change the PrismStation to PtP off? If that is the issue, do I then set both Locos to OFF for AP & PtP? Second issue is that I can't get the devices on the UISP Domain (says unreachable). I did make a domain and it did work until I changed the devices to 192.168.10.x instead of 192.168.1.x. Should they all be back on 1.x? Thanks in advance!

Hi Cody, I am in Montreal and I provide Wi-Fi for Outdoor festivals. I was thinking to use AirMax Nanobeam AC as Access Point and Stations. Would the airMAX LiteAP 5AC be a better choice for the access point in a PtmP environnement ? Is it omnidirectionnal ? Thanks for your videos !

Hey Cody, quick question. The NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 seems to be sold out in a lot of places or priced higher than its retail value. Are there any secondary products you can recommend that might have similar performance?

Great video to review how to configure an Ubiquiti PTMP network solution, thanks Cody. Because this is a combination of indoor and outdoor network installation, I was curious what you use to protect your client's equipment from lightning. Is the "Ubiquiti Ethernet Surge Protector" enough or there is something else?

Have you experience with a Wireless ISP PTP (airmax) interfering with WAP’s in homes that are in the Path of the PTP? The WAP’s and ISP PTP are all on the 5Ghz band. There are 7 PTP’s that are spread across the 5G band so there are no unused channels for the WAP’s. This covers a very large neighborhood with dozens of homes affected. The main ISP AP’s sit atop a 1000’ mountain overlooking the neighborhood and are used to provide service to homes miles away. The WAPs work ok (500Mbps up and down) until they stop broadcasting their SSID... change channels, or just slow service to ~20Mbps. Rendering use of the 5G Band unusable. My clients are all on 1Gbps FTTH and are expecting a better WiFi experience.

Do you upgrade for your all customers constantly the firmware of the ubiquiti/unifi products (maintenance etc.)? Or do you leave "auto updates" for all products enabled? Do you have access to the unifi controller?

Actually i have 2 different location and 1 central location and i want to connect both our sites with center office. kindly help i want to make a intranet connection.
@christucker31873 жыл бұрын
Might be a very noon comment but if the LiteAP AC is broadcasting a SSID couldn't the clients connect directly to that or are they configured in such a way that they can only broadcast to the specific receiver. Also kind of weird the LiteAP and the Nanobeam dont show in the UDMP device list?
@MactelecomNetworks3 жыл бұрын
They won’t broadcast the ssid (not that I could see anyways) also the liteAP and nanobeam are not apart of the unifi stack so they won’t show up
@brothersnetworksolutions95453 жыл бұрын
Can the same outcome be accomplished with the UniFi Mesh Access point UAP-AC-M-US over a short distance? Just to keep it within the unifi family without having to use the pricier building to building bridge?

The Unifi mesh are pretty much the same price. They will also not give you the reliability and the speeds the same as the PTMP gear I have in this video
