I was diagnosed with vitiliform dystrophy at the age of 14. Back then, I just noticed my vision was getting slightly blurry so I donned glasses. But now, at 16, I noticed that the center of my vision or focus point looked as if there was a bulge. If anyone has used Apples old photo booth app, it kinda looked like one of those filters... This was a blow for me cause that was my dominant eye and I cannot focus on anything with it now. It's sad to know there's no cure and I'm honestly terrified. I've taken my vision for granted this whole time...

Thank you for this video.Im 37 years old,I ve got myopia modica from childhood,my vision with glasses is perfect,whithout defects.Before few months my new eye doctor found changes on macula.I was on OCT,and around fovea are discreet defects pigments and atrofies.Perimetr was whithout defects.I was shocked,because my vision is absolut normal.Specialist told me,that is chance,that it could not be progressive and keep no worse my vision on the future.May I ask you what maximal I can do as prevent?It is too possible that this changes i ve got long time,but my previous doctor did not find it. I have Best disease (started affecting my vision at 15 or 16 and is noticeably affecting my life now because my vision is so poor). I just keep checking back every few years to see if a cure is available.

I'm 37 years old in 2022. When I was 14, I started to see some web like formations in the side vision of my left eye. After some time it shifted to the center of my vision. Now wherever I see from my left eye, the center of my vision is diffused. My peripheral vision is alright, it's just the exact center. If I close my right eye and look at a person from 3-4 feet distance, his head will disappear (diffused in the surroundings). I keep checking online of there's a cure available, but sadly, there isn't. The vision of my right eye is perfect. I just want to know if there's a certain age for this to happen or can it happen at any age?

@@faizkazi2789 totally agree. Having good people around is really awesome. They assist and guide us for a lot of paperwork and transactions. Good thing that there has been so many accessibility technologies that helped us to at least have a grasp on for visually challenging times.

very well... but last answer was not good.... just like u the one commented below. i also have this! age 19! :-( but the cruel world, knowing nothing about it as it does not affect them, makes me keep it a secret and struggle in class! being a student, it is hard that too in India where most colleges don't really care, just come n pass out... i just want to ask. why is this mutation? because of todays life style? or invisible radiation!
