Stephen Hillenburg was a longtime Goofy Goober and Spongebob Director and I'm glad Spongebob is still in the parade as of 2021. In the only year he didnt appear they should have taken out Jeff Koon's Rabbit to make room for Spongebob. Live well in heaven, Stephen. We Salute You

Dude, the Hillenburg not wanting spin-offs thing is misinformation: back in 2009, he said he didn’t expect a spin-off being made. The same interview had him say he didn’t expect a second movie to be made. That 2nd movie was made in 2015, and Hillenburg knew about Kamp Koral.
