Looking back Mad was a really great show. Back then when I was I kid I used to watch this on cartoon network and I really didn't realize how good of a show it was and I kinda just ignored it for a long time. This Show is a guilty pleasure of mine I grew up with and what I really like about Mad on Cartoon Network at the time that it had different animation styles, humor, parody skits of anything and some of different known voice actors that were included in this show here like Gilbert Gottfried, Tara Strong and so much more to say. I heard someone somewhere say that this show would have worked better as a bumper segment or even as a short online series. Imagine watching a show then for like 20 seconds it cuts to one of these. Or imagine scrolling Twitter and passing the mad account and seeing one. I think giving it its own show is what ultimately doomed it. Not the nature of the content but the length.

I feel like I was from a select cabal of kids who actually got most, if not all of the references. This show didn’t know its target audience was basically kids on the spectrum who remember every obscure reference they’ve seen. Even if they don’t really appreciate it fully. Its like “oh yeah haha, weird green goblin guy from Star Wars, but he’s in Power Puff Girls. I get* it.”
