If im not mistaken, leokimvideo made a few videos on behind the scenes when he produced mad bomber episode 1, which back all the way in 2000, he was going to make episode 2 but he ended up cancelling the series because of some stuff with hit entertainment, who were at the time the owners of the thomas franchise, he almost got into making episode 3, but because episode 2 was cancelled (albeit with reportly a lot of the production made and with four teasers released) no new info on mad bomber appeared until around 2020 when leo commented on the current video revealing the long lasting mystery on who the mad bomber was, he revealed it was an engine called bluebell, bluebell was jealous of thomas and his popularity, so not only did he rebuilt himself to look more like thomas, but also he made himself a diesel body, which turned out to be mute, bluebell wanted to take thomas's identity, however not much apart from sir topham hat's brother would appear and some other characters and a bit of the plot but nothing else.

Yes, everyone who worked on this are Australian :) So fun fact in case you haven't found out or no one's told you, but Leokimvideo (aka, Leo Henry) is an absolute standout, especially for the time. Though still true to an extent to this day, way back in 2007 (the first upload of it didn't feature Mute or the cloning and repair ending) the fandom was dominated by peeps either still in school or just barely in college, but Leo was already about in his 30s, was professional, and had made this way back in 2000-1 for his video club with his friends. A lot of the short films he uploaded in the early years features those guys and you can put voices to faces as a result (like the Mr. Potato video). He's a licensed pyrotechnician and already had a few years of work as a practical effects artist on films both mainstream and from foreign companies prior to Mad Bomber (some he can't discuss because of international copyright etc.). His use of explosives makes this and some of his toy reviews really unique.

A true classic. The effects are definitely great as they are practical effects rather than CGI. Leo did a lot of tutorials about his effects and set dressing back in the day and he's always been a huge inspiration for me when it comes to model work. It's a shame Part 2 never ended up getting made but it doesn't make the original any less great.

Heyo Tidmouth! :) Oooo did you possibly change your profile picture? Maybe I haven't noticed it before but it looks good. Do you personally draw/create your profile pictures or does someone make them for you? Also, do you have a reference for your MLP character by any chance? I totally agree with your input and take on the effects. Although this was my first leokimvideo, I can tell that they put a lot of effort into the way that they create their content. Woah that's super helpful that they helped to explain the way that they make their videos, I don't usually see that a lot. Aw gosh, that's great to hear that they inspired you, they definitely seem like a good person to learn from. Oh yeah I heard that HIT copyrighted their work, which is very unfortunate since this first episode was really cool. @@WhattheHay Yes I did! Been meaning to change from the old one for a while and just thought about it earlier today! The starfield in the background of my icon/channel banner is a still frame from my outro which I commissioned from Dave Burgess but other than that all the art is my own! My OC I designed ages ago on a Deviantart pony creating tool but I've refined him a lot since those days. I have a bunch of reference pics on Drive but I wouldn't know the best place to send you a link (e-mail I guess?)

I can't remember whether or not I made an OC but I had fun using it. The diesel engines aren't necessarily evil, just overly cocky and snooty. They like to bully the steam engines by telling them that they're obsolete, with the inevitable fate of scrapping, dealt by the cutter's torch. But, of course, not all diesels are portrayed as antagonists. You've got nice diesels like BoCo, Mavis, Salty, Rusty, Paxton, & Bear.

The “diesel” who doesn’t speak is clearly named Mute XD Also ya this is a VERY popular video and even tho it was canceled (I think it was because HIT entertainment which owned Thomas at the time copyrighted) But we know who the bomber is now :) and it was not any of the characters shown on screen….well technically the bomber was seen on screen but in disguise Also you mentioned that Toby was your favorite character right? The Unlucky Tug made a Sodor’s Finest Episode about him

Heyo Dan! :D Ooooooh gosh lol, that's a wonderful name. I should have assumed that that was the case but I was too focused on trying to figure out the plot. That's a good name choice though. The quality of this video was really fantastic, so I totally agree with you on that. I've heard that it was canceled but I had no idea that HIT got it to stop. I've heard of Mattel doing similar things, which is unfortunate since so many Thomas content creators put a lot of work into what they do. I'm really not sure what I would do as a company owner, but taking financial compensation for someone's hard work doesn't seem like the best way to go about it. The surprise of seeing who the bomber was was fun! I totally would have expected it to be someone else but it did make sense in the end. Oh yeah! I've heard about the release of the video, I definitely plan on reacting to it once I get through a few of the other Sodor's Finest videos. The og video was probably taken down because of the original version [in 4:3] using the original Thomas theme by Mike and Junior. But that's only speculation, maybe there's other reasons.

Heyo Engine! :) Yepperonni, that was pretty interesting to find out. I wasn't too sure who to guess since I'm not too familiar with the whole Mad Bomber series. The ending of the episode did seem to make sense, for the most part, I wasn't really expecting the bomber to be who it was lol. Are you a fan of the Mad Bomber series? I've heard that it, unfortunately, hasn't continued into a season 2, but I'll most likely spend some time going through the other episodes if they're available. Heyo Mines! :P Me as well, I totally wouldn't have heard of leokimvideo if it wasn't for the people who suggested this video. Since I haven't watched a lot of their work, do they primarily focus on creating parodies? Are the parodies mainly done in relation to the Thomas franchise? They seem to be really well qualified for creating videos with engine models, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the video, I did as well. I was especially impressed with the lighting and weather effects that were included in the video. I look forward to checking out more of their videos when I have the time, especially since this specific content was so cool and had a great plot. @@WhattheHay well, it was announced by Leo himself, the creator of the video, that the Mad Bomber was Bluebell. It's part of the Thomas Merchandise, only he is completely different from the others: he doesn't have a face. And because of that, he wasn't loved. He wasn't special in the eyes of children. And it drove him mad. He was also the exact same class as Thomas.

Unfortunately, I've also been told that one of the companies who previously owned the Thomas franchise (HIT I believe) copy struck the video, so I believe that season 2 isn't occurring, although that may change in the future. It would be awesome to see more content like this. The quality that was shown throughout this video was extremely impressive. I was specifically amazed by the weather and lighting effects, I've never seen as much effort put into a Thomas-related video before. Within episode one, I already had a few guesses by the end of the video, but hearing that it is Blue Bell is interesting. I'm not as creative as leokimvideo, I never would have thought to make that decision. Are you a fan of the Mad Bomber series?
