Mad Cobra is old skool i first heard Mad Cobra on the radio on the Cherry oh baby Riddim this was a new type of reggae cross over when started Ninja man was getting tired in the game shabba was on top and new talent was starting to arise Mad Cobra had the same voice pattern of ninja man but with more charisma more energy. just like Sean Pauls voice has more studio energy to super cats voice in these times. When Ninja man was on the mic he made bad man lyrics amusing not 2 corrupt a person so they would actually believe in the hype and go and a mad spree but the word is powerful when Buju Banton did boom bi bi people took it as bum bye bye and reacted to it world wide. When the truth is been spoken you have ears to hear on a topic voiced on a riddim u can relate with or not the MC trys to deliver it in a format that involves you and is poetic "say fire bun" crowd react with in the concept of the topic and if what was heard if it wasn't appropriate you would hear boohoos, its story telling a vitalization in the mind of badness in a poetic form just like how he visioned the four pillars "But wait! foundation is the ground work lol. Mad Cobra smart only music can draw him out he knows Hollywood gangster movies its only acting. If u relate to a movie like Scarface Shottas and want to live that life its either you be killed or end up in jail.I remember going back a few years now when i went to watch a kung fu movie at school and as the movie finish everyone turn kung fu master pure jokes but it was just fun.

Skelta seh a man his senior says Four columns in dancehall...hmmmm. So Ninja, Shabba, Bounty, Beenie?? Only Buju and Cat are the other contenders....The fact that Helta took offense and "move to radio" with new songs, means apparently he wasn't named as a column. Bigup yuhself same way Skelta, yah one a dem who help carry wi ting to heights, and nuh get mixed up like some bwoy. nuff respect!

It seem like the Cobra surprised at his treatment by Columbia . When you joined the record label did you read the small print cobra ? Did your lawyer state to you how much creative control you would be entitled to ?

Some ppl talk too much, as such, I am convinced that the crime in Jamaica results from such idiocy. One's finances/income should never be disclosed, it makes you a target and settlement amounts should definitely not be disclosed; in some cases those parties can in return counter sue the victim to pay back those funds.
@carolwynter76705 жыл бұрын
I wonder how long he stayed with Columbia because just as I thought they want total creative control of the kind of music that he puts out and this a real problem with dancehall artist because this for the most part is antiproductive when it comes to their creativity and that's why these type of collaborations tend to fizzle out

So you get shot and just take it , is that human being andd is that justice, or he should go kill the man and run out of luck and go Jail, whoever you are you sound extremely dunce.

Christopher Powell he is a badman in life so whatever comes with it you have to defend it not run to the police 👮♀️. Now I would be ignorant and dunce if he was a law abiding citizen which he is not ask anyone familiar with him from Breaton

@DJkingFari83210 жыл бұрын
i mean thats his ting tho .. his creative control ..as u hear he didn't like being mr sweet boy .. he a mon full of lyrics and ppl like him don't like ppl telling him what he can do . in music ..
@DJkingFari83210 жыл бұрын
press trigger me nah press ppl button .. was a big tune ..
@tzouse10 жыл бұрын
Disagree he damaged his career. He said the label, Colombia, prevented him from recording outside of what they say, on radio. So because he was getting flashes of lyrics, he had to do "dark" songs that couldn't play on radio to keep his sanity, and especially keep the label from finding out !! He has a lot of "dark" songs if you're really into dancehall, but Cobra is still a dangerous artist and his recent songs are pretty good. Respect to him for venturing into other business ventures that can feed his family
@DJkingFari83210 жыл бұрын
yeh .. like look at mavado .. he still on every diddim in JA .. and recording abroad .. with WE THE BEST .. u can't stop someone from doing their natural ability to do .. he came from dancehall and wanted to make his dancehall music .. its because they can't get a part of $$ if he still made music in JA with other producers only with the ones they put him with
@tzouse10 жыл бұрын
tafari toney Fi real, once the labels sign them every cent they make must go through the label. Can't too blame the labels still, they also invest in the artist and artist benefit..
