I agree with his basic point, but I also remenber that he DIDN'T put the Lakers among his list of Top 5 storied sports franchises (he only named the Celtics among teams from the NBA). But now he's talking as if he believes the Lakers were the greatest sports team ever, and therefore it's tarnishing their image for them to celebrate an inaugural cup win (which is a big deal in European soccer). So he's not being consistent at all.
