Git Gud I am not G2 fan, I am SKT fan. If you think that equates to G2-hater, fine. I am just watching these games without any lenses. After watching about 70% of EVERY SINGLE game in the big 4 regions this year. So far, G2 I would say is the only team in the world that is a league above the rest within a region. That is a fact! LEC improved a lot in terms of competition and that means every team need to tryhard even more this year to win splits and to qualify for worlds which means the level can only grow. Look at standings in LEC and look standings in NA. C9 looks like 2019 G2 pretty much which is a good sign ofc but not for the entire LCS league like G2 last year, no competition except FNC maybe. Also FPX worlds champion right? Look now LPL standings. Things change and keep changing. But is way too early to make international predictions, we are barely over half spring split.

I think caps isn't a problem, i mean he is but not because he can't play adc, on adc and on mid he just isn't that good, he may be one of the best players MECHANICALLY but when comes to a lots of different styles of playing games, he doesnt stay where he should, he doesnt focus right champion, he doesnt do what midlaner/adc should do on map or in teamfight, also he plays too confident, often dies cause chasing too far, sometimes he maneges to kill but then his team comes after him and dies. But mainly problem of this previous games when g2 lost are picks. Grabzz choosed poorly, if that was grabbz ideas, only to counter lane or he thinks of future possibilities of how this champ can counter other laner in late game. But i really doesnt see teamcomp possibilities. I mean, sylas, if he is going to work, need special champs in team, sejuani and aatrox arent correct pick for that. Also, when u play aatrox u focus on ealry game jungler who can help feed adc or mid, cause aatrox will have dmg even when he lose top, he will be just fine. And mf needs a support who can help her not to die and also make her a way to deal dmg, like taric. Mf and sylas needs constant attention to make them deal dmg, sejuani doesnt do that and she will not help 2 lanes, elise, lee sin or jarvan could do that. And then support should have a lot of heals, shields etc and one thing that will help mof do dmg, for example nami. But there are too many wrong things about these picks (also picks in previous games) that there is too much to write, roster should be completely different including picking champions that deal dmg to 5 champions at the same time (karthus jungle yesterday was op pick) and including champions which are comfortable to play by each of g2 player. That's all X))))))

They're not necessarily bad, it just feels like the competition has improved. Besides, they are still catching their stride. I wouldn't be surprised if they slowly start to pull away soon along with FNC and OG. It is true however, that they are not as dominant in the top side of the map as they used to be. Only Jankos seems to have kept form from last year so far.

many teams going all cilinders on their fights; usually G2 had control last year because they were really aggresive, now, with a year under their belt and many coaches and scouts knowing their playstyle, they can work on things to counter them, be more aggressive, etc.
