Matt the guys who got their freebies don't want to jeopardize future freebies from the Lennon camp so they can't be too critical of the Mind Game Meditation Mixes. They have to leave positive reviews in order to get future Lennon box sets for free. I haven't seen any reviews from YTbers who have actually bought the records. Have you seen any reviews from anyone who actually forked out the $$? You know these mixes will hardly ever be played by the ones who got their freebies. Probably never. Om.

To be honest, Sean could show up at my front door, hand me a copy of the Meditation Mixes, give me a hug, and offer to cook me dinner…and I’d still tell him, “thanks but no thanks”. Nothing against Sean, but I don’t need any freebies, Ive made a decent living for myself, I can buy what I want, when I want. “Celebrity” doesn’t impress me. My friend and bandmate from high school would sit and discuss our material that we would perform together at gigs discusseing the latest LPs. At what popular songs we would learn. You and others in the music community bring a little bit of that music magic go back into my life. It was so much easier in the past to complete an artist's disc ography. As a musician and fan of music all I want is outtakes. Outtakes to me are like being in the studio hanging out with the guys. From Frank Sinatra to The Beatles. To Jimmie Vaughan Stevie Ray and the rest. Thanks again and God bless you and your family.

Maybe I‘m completely wrong, but this release reminds me of Pauls McCartney III Reimagined. First I hadn‘t interest in both productions but after a while I had Reimagined on heavy rotation and really loved it. Now I have to accept that there is no CD version out there, do I have to turn to KZbin all the time for enjoying these fascinating tracks. Not for everyone but for me it nails it😊

Nice response. What gets me about these Mind Games releases is there are two items in the super deluxe edition that don't even fit with what they were doing in 1973. The Yoko art from 66 and John's art from 68 should have been saved for the Two Virgins and Life with the Lions L.P.s if they are ever given the super deluxe box set treatment. Two L.P.s I am desperately keen to hear in their raw meditational glory but now, we know they won't get that treatment because that art has been used, unless they come with a white step ladder and half a white chair. 🙂

Many thanks for this video Matt. I do get that this is going to be a project you're either gonna love or hate. I personally enjoy this kind of stuff, but am not into the meditation thing, never have been, but it's an album I will play in the background, as I do some classical music when I'm winding down after a particular exhausting and challenging day at work. I'll admit that it's a purchase to also keep the Lennon section of my record collection up to date. Many thanks for pointing out those other albums, as I don't believe I have that Queen album either on CD or vinyl, have to put that right. All I can say is we like what we like or not as the case maybe. I've bought it, but it's hardly going to top any charts. This will only appeal to those who like this kind of music and the hardcore Beatle fans as you say.

I think I this album is perhaps more geared to younger people who like the New Age music. Personally for me, if I want to listen to meditation music, I’ll take George Harrison’s Wonderwall Music album hands down. Thanks Take care

The album package is very nice pretty silver shining and beautiful clear vinyl like ice in Iceland!!! It is peaceful sounding i guess you have to be in a mantra state of being and sit down and fold your legs like the Yogi Meshogi in the Karate kid!!! I dug the Elemental Mixes from the new box set as far as being toned down, quieter versions of the songs. They are far superior to these meditation mixes. You are better than me, I tried to listen to the full Meditation Mixes on Streaming but was bored to death and put on some KISS instead!

And these utterly generic reviews from fans who get the freebies. You know exactly what they’re going to say. Will any of them just stand up and say; No! Thanks Matt again for speaking out your mind, and tell the truth. This release is an Ultra Clear Rip off. An absolutely innecesary release for 88 euros in europe, it would have been much better making the most of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the last legendary performance with elton john at Mad Square garden (28th november 1974) and release a deluxe Walls and bridges 50th anniversary box set including that restored performance…. But mr sean ono lennon is probably saving up that for nect year and instead prefers to keep on squeezing the mind games year by releasing trash. You need to be a fool to buy this album. All the best
