They would have gotten away with doing whatever they wanted in the Outback at the time. More incredible is that they only had one take, and it was also the set they filmed most of the movie in. There was no going back for reshoots of previous scenes, and no second takes if half the explosives were duds. This was it, and they freaking nailed it 👌

i just saw furiosa. i remembered the scene in mad max 2 as being much more elaborate. but it's still very good. and at the end, the gross scenes in furiosa are very exaggerated. but i thought furiosa was unnecessarily maligned by the critics. i thought it was pretty good! maybe not as over the top as fury road. but still good!
