this just breathed new life into an old g-shock g100 and an old timex weekender I had laying around! so awesome thank you for this tutorial! I have very VERY big wrists (9 1/2 inches) and finding straps that fit me is a pain. will be using this method to make any watch fit me from now on! also, I assume the 93 dislikes are all people who weren't patient enough to stick through to the end

Late response, but I would use 2 cords instead of one at half the sizes he used in the video, and tie one at each side of the watch, then continue with cobra knot and the stopper loop as he demonstrates in the video

I'm sorry for discouraging you. I did see a video that will allow you to use your smartwatch. You have to do two separate parts of the band instead of passing under the watch.

What is the width of the band or length of the link pin? Seems like it has to be wide to accommodate the 6 strands of 550 paracord....I hope my old Casio will work...but then I can go to Target or Walmart and get an inexpensive watch of my design...
