I went to public school when I saw the first Mad Max in the cinema. I guess I must have been 15 or perhaps the person who sold the ticket wasn't strickt about the age limit. It was wellknown in Denmark unlike in USA so when Mad Max 2 had premiere in 1981 people knew the character already and were looking forward to see the sequel. It was even better than I expected. Amazing movie!

I think people ignore the first one because it kind of jumped the shark in the second one, but because that film was so good everyone forgave it for being different from the first. Then everyone started saying "Mad Max is a post Apocalypse film series" and not "Mad Max is about one man's struggle against a society that's falling apart."

​@@87654321jIn a way, it's continuity with the character. He loses it in Road Warrior, by Thunderdome, he's fixing up a new one. Fury Road, you can claim he made a new one or found a body for the frame. In the game, you lose it only to build something similar, yet new. Max is a black finger by self necessity. He just can never get the black on black like before. Before he lost it all in the roar of an engine.

Fantastic video, powerful. I drove those big rigs for 30 years, really touches my heart this video. Also because in this video, when the film was made, the stunts are real!! There was pain, real pain. Hero's are the stunt men !

@jimmyhopkinsman This is wrong It's after Fury Road. it is in fact after Fury Road since According to the events of Fury Road Immortan Joe's son is Scabrous Scrotus mentioned in the Nux & Immortan Joe comic book wich makes us happy cause that gives more opening for a second game. Gas Town, Most vehicle designs are based on Fury Road, familiar tribes make an appearance (The Buzzards) as well the list goes on War boys etc. Insignias the new things we got are amazing, are a great followup after Fury Road So Max loses all of it in Fury Road but you climb back up to become Road Warrior once again. It is litteraly after Fury Road so yes it is cannon. It's not before every other so yeah here we go the answer it's quite obvious though. This is enough proof that it takes place after since Gas Town is only mentioned in Fury Road and the fact that Immortan Joe had a son Scabrous Scrotus who took over. Oh also Hope is in the game wich is the girl with the red hair yeah that's the girl from Fury Road Grown up madmax.fandom.com/wiki/Hope any more proof needed. Here we go, Cannon! back in Fury Road, i think Chumbucket was still a blackfinger for Immortan Joe as he mentioned numorous times ingame with the wrench etc etc. once i found this out the game becomes extremely more enjoyable even if it already is! and it give us opening for that second game, where i will give no major spoilers for people here but yeah we know what happened in the end of the game. All a setup for the next Movie or Game.
