I loved the flyover at the end. Who'd have thought that a pond dam could look so beautiful? We always love to see revisits after a project becomes established, but this is a particular case in point, and there is so much more to this project than just the pond dam.

Chris, the vision you have in your head before you start such a immense project like this is amazing. IDK if you have a actual drawing on paper of the pond before you start,that would be interesting to see. You constantly blow me away with what you’re able to accomplish and the vision you have!

I was about to say something similar. We viewers see the start situation, and then Chris changing it into the end situation, but he himself has to see the "what goes where" in his mind AND schedule it among his other jobs AND keep an eye on the weather forecast. (I'm in Europe, but I've come to watch Ryan Hall's secundary weather channel. Oh boy!) Oh yes: AND he must have his maintenance planning AND some fall-back plans AND know what help is available when.

@letsdig18 considering all of your previous projects for other customers, your work and the finished product speaks for itself. They'd be foolish NOT to have YOU doing the job for them. And yes, you ARE an absolute master. I've always been a fan of the notion that good work, quality work pays for itself and is worth the higher cost. You and your work epitomize that.

Looking real nice. I guess five or six inches of rain is not going to over top the dam with a small area of watershed or you would have been focused on the overflow. I know some areas that amount of rain would run off of square miles of area and end up with many feet of gain at the pond. It really is amazing how fast this came together from what it was at first before the logging began. Likely best that you did not get to seed and straw since that much rain could just wash it away. Better to get it down when soft and gentle rain comes.
@gravelydon7072
@gravelydon7072 Жыл бұрын
Heck, that much rain could change our creek in Ohio from 2 feet at the USGS gauge to 23ft. You know you have troubles with flooding when they put staff gauges along side of the State Highway to tell how deep the water is over the road. 5" here in S. Florida goes down into the ground quickly. But it would be a 25" rise in the groundwater level.

Yeahhhh,,,, that’s lookin pretty nice now!! I knew it would be a pretty pond and when there’s crop along the shorelines and the trees behind the dam, that’s gonna be a REALLY pretty looking pond!! Even your little pond that’s so wonderful, is thinking it’s got some real competition!! 😂😂. It’s still #1, but you keep getting some nice jobs out there Chris!! I remember that one seriously muddy bog you took two small ponds and kinda joined them up. That actually turned into one of my favourites as well. You were sculpting in PURE mud,,,,, MUD!! This one started out muddy, but you got that water table down enough to work safely & they even get some land recovered back as well!! Looking forward to the final product and maybe even an update if you can squeeze it into your schedule some time next year. This will be one to revisit for sure!!
