As per story, I enjoy the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the most. It is the first gothic literature I "really" read. So, it has left quite an impact on me.

Great video, both in content and presentation! When I was getting my degree in biotechnology, the head of the biotech department told us that in this day and age, a mad scientist is a scientist who works alone. (If you've got colleagues around you on a daily basis, they can talk you out of building a von Neumann machine that feeds only on the blood of children. ...or at the very least mention that the ethics board will take away all our funding.) While her definition isn't all-encompassing, "A mad scientist is a scientist who works alone," comes back to my mind often, even when discussing fictional mad scientists. What would have happened if Frankenstein had kept up his ties with Waldman? What would have happened if Dr. Jekyll had been talked out of drinking from that beaker?)

Exactly! Thanks for adding this! It would be hard to become mad scientists as a group if you don't have evil megacorp or some sort of evil organization funding your unethical projects like how they do in movies.
