Actually, believe it or not, a recently released SRW OG's spin off, "Endless Frontier" for the Nintendo DS has all of the original Japanese dialogue intact, with not a single English dub to be heard, yet all of the menu text and dialogue text was translated into English, and this was an official release, not a fan translation mind you.

There's still a chance of Atlus, our best friends, bringing it over (Knowing them, they'd probably pull what they did with Ys and package OGs and OGG together). I mean, they released the first SRW OG four years after the Japanese release, and the second over a year and a half after its original release, so two years old doesn't rule it out. So, the best way to get this game in English is to preorder OG Saga and tell Atlus that you would really like it if they did the other OG games.

Well, you can change the spoken language in those games by looking under the options menu, but back to the matter at hand, I guess when you put it like that, I can understand why they can't just translate the game.

Pretty much. Gundam isn't really seen as too japanese, as the Gundam franchise is quite popular all over the world, thusly making sure that any games having Gundam in it will make money. The reason to all the NO JAPANESE TOO MUCH AND ALSO NOT 2D is mostly because Sony of America does not believe that games that are "too japanese" or 2D will not make money, if I recall correctly. Nippon Ichi's Disgaea was a big exception, and now the company is popular, and its games are released, no question.

Why in the holy mother of Sanity did this game not get ported over to the States? I can think of no conceivable reason for Banpresto not to export it. I mean, don't they have loyal fanbase in the States as well as Japan?

On a separate note, why doesn't Atlus do what it usually does and just translate the game, but keep the original Japanese dialogue? They did it in Disgaea and Phantom Brave, Rivera, Altier Iris...the list goes on and on.

As that maybe the case, why to a good amount of Gundam games become ported? Because there is a veritable market willing to spend their hard-earned money on such games, a good amount being on Sony consoles. That's why it continues to baffle me as to why the American Market, and Hell, even the European markets on these games hasn't been sufficiently utilized in said companies never-ending quest to get our, the gamer/otakus' money.

Yes, I'm aware of this. However, the key word here is "Nintendo". Nintendo =/= Sony, I'm afraid. If Original Generations and Gaiden were for the Wii or somesuch, there would be a better chance of getting it over to places that aren't Japan. Also, to make matters worse for getting the OGs's over there and here, Sony of America generally hates anything too japanese or 2D. Disgaea and other games by the Nippon Ichi seem to be exceptions. They don't seem to realize that Japan is really popular now.

Texas. That's were Fullmetal Alchemist got them. Also, great thing about voice acting, 40+ roles =/= 40+ actors, just that many voices, which any VA worth his salt(With exceptions, like Johnny Young Bosch, who just do one, but do it REALLY well.) has at least a few. It could be done, and not for obscene amounts of money. It would make a sizable profit, and I'm basing that off of people who already want it, and none of the folks who'd see it in stores and pick it up for shits and giggles.

You see, Ryu, there's the whole deal with Sony of America being a bunch of dipshits and not allowing anything without an english voice track be released in the US. As you may have noticed, there's a ton of characters to give voices to. I rest my case.
