The orange accent on the G-Shock branding is a nod to the hunters that wear this model. The camouflage you see on the bezel is the camo hunters wear, and the orange accent is the Safety Orange gear (hat or vest) you need to wear do that other hunters see you. Awesome review. Great review as always, It does look good in the camo version. I still love my GW-M 5600 the best though. I just got my new from Argos, Casio MRW-200H, only £14.99 at the moment. It looks like a great little Casio for the money 👍

Love my absolutely stylish GA- 2100 "all black" but when I need to read the time, I have to put on the 5610 😂😂😂 or take the cellphone or every other watch 🤣 Nevertheless I wouldn't switch to the camouflage. As I have no experience in this, I wonder how many work hours it might take to produce such a show............not to speak about the time to develope these ideas for jingles, laughter, BARKINGS and all this other totally crazy stuff ? It all looks so light hearted - but I have a notion about the extra effort to make something so complicated and comprehensive to appear sooo subtle AND after all being a father, a husband, a tennis teacher / trainer and a watch addicted. Even if you don´t tell me - Russell - keep on with the good work and make us light hearted !

Great review. I've spent ages pondering whether to get one of these, but thanks to this vid I think I won't be. It does look cool but I value back-light a lot on a g shock and this doesn't seem to cut it.

Another stellar show MWC 👏👏👏👏 The Seiko Showcase was a fantastic shot 🍓 (if anyone needs me I’ll be looking at SNX73s on eBay for the rest of the day 🤣). I must confess, all the fuss and hype around these totally went over my head previously. I always wrote them off as too big based on the on paper specs and since the look never did much for me I thought that was that. But you have almost turned me around on them 😂 I’ve gone from not wanting to know to Casioak curious 🤣 I’m saving for an Oris at the moment so trying to resist these awesome bargain pieces which chip away at the watch budget. But maybe one day 😂

I’m fallen for the Big Crown Propilot Big Date. It’s 41mm, basically a modern fliger style watch (more like an IWC than a classic looking Laco or Stowa, if you get what I mean). I’ve really fallen for this watch in particular and Oris as a brand but can’t help but think it’s going to be on the cusp of being too big for me (even though I’ve heard from several people it doesn’t wear 41mm). I’m going to be in London in the summer for a few days to attend a friend’s wedding so I’m going to sneak off to the Oris boutique and try everything they have on 😂

Nice review. I have never been a Casio fan at all. I get it though. Just not my bag. My 13 year old has one, it's great. As a boy, I was in the Ironman camp. Had a regular, golf, digi/analog, and Mission Impossible SS edition through the years. 45mm is beastly, I struggle to go bigger than 42mm with a 8.75" wrist. 5 alarms? Wtf, I struggle with one on my Seiko Flighty. Hahaha I think you would be the only person to sway me at this point.

I am surprised to see that the backlight seems subpar on this watch. I only have the full metal version of this watch and the backlight on it is very good, certainly more than enough to illuminate the entire dial. Can anyone comment whether the full metal version has a different backlight to the standard version? Or maybe we just have different standards?

If you like this one, I suggest you look into the newly released G-shock G-steel GST-B400. It's named the thinnest metal G-shock to date and I think it'll sell like hot cakes as well despite the high price..

Don't know about the camo bezel? A positive display and I would be sold on it. Negative displays are only good if bigger and even then can be a bollox to read. Good video Russell.

Went put to look at one of these...then saw a citizen promaster diver on sale for 180 euro only catch it had a green bezel which turned me off...so I bought the casioak..but then went back and bought the other...later on feeling all high and watched up I passed another shop and saw something..a sekonda 1846 diver for 65 euro???...looks like a vintage diver and despite its faults it still looks good..I came home with three watchs...to add to the rest...she will kill me...ha ha.....but she has been a better watch listener since I bought her the baby g...casioak are a macho watch and would look good on anu action star....some of the other g shocks are like technical bricks...

Great vid as usual. My personal feeling is watches should be either ana or digital, not both (which produces a compromise). While the CasiOak might appeal to the more fashion conscience, for me the squares represent the purity of G-Shock heritage.
