Valli collected all the information for the bus ride, she had been listening to the conversation of her neighbours who regularly used the bus and asked some discreet questions to the passengers like about the fare of the bus, how much time bus takes for one side , travelling distance of the bus etc. She knew that her mother sleeps from 1pm to 4pm so she choosed this time for her bus journey. She planned, replanned, calculated and recalculated for her bus journey. She saved up for the fare by refusing her favourite swings, ice cream, toys etc. She got her money but she didn't spend this money on these fascinated things.

Valli was a meticulous planner as she gathered information about the bus through the passangers conversation and neighbours conversation about the bus travel she found that the bus come at 1 o'clock in afternoon and the fare of bus for a side is 30 paise . Valli saved up the fare for the bus by avoiding her tempatation to buy toys, choclate,sweet, etc.

The tale of custard the dragon is a light hearted and funny poem because in the end of poem there was a surprise ending. Custard - the dragon in the Belinda house, as he Was a coward he cried for a nice safe cage and everyone else except him in the house were very brave. But during the pirate attack all pets ran away except the cowardly dragon who kills the pirate. Even after that, all pets persuaded them to be more brave than him.

Valli found about the bus, town is 6 miles away from her village and the fare of the bus is 30 paise for one way and the bus took forty five minutes to reach the town. Valli thriflt saved her fare by resisting every temptation to buy peppermints, toys and she also didn't go to the merry go round for the saving of her fare

The story 'The Tale of Custard Dragon' seems serious to me because in this story Belinda considered his Dragon coward percival , she and other pets always made laugh of him but in the end when pirate enters in the story, every pet of Belinda hidden except dragon. Dragon was so merciful as after so many tonts he helped Belinda and others. He gobbled the pirate and rescued everyone.

She found that bus take 45 min in both the ride and fare for on side was 30 paise, she listened carefully to her neighbours talking and also to the people who mostly traveled in bus and asked some questions about the bus ride. She saved 60 paise by resisting her temptations to buy papermint, ballons and toys, even though she resisted her to go on the merry go round.
