To be fair, younger characters and younger actors mean they can play their parts for longer and for more movies. This also gives a reason for setting movie to be in the early 2000s, so they have time for Peter to be born and grow up between then and now.

I think there is a flash forward with the spider-women in their suits and Ezekiel with grey hair as a sequence in this movie. With the lines referring to the future and those scenes having a ghostly filter. I bet they don’t properly get suits but are alluded to who they grow up to become in a sequel.

I think the concept is pretty cool. My worry is that introducing too many characters in a movie never works really well…and it’s going to have to do a lot of heavy lifting to see them jump to having high tech suits and mastery of their abilities. I’m hopeful that the story and writing will be great.

Ezekiel's spiderman suit reminds me of the suit worn by Wolf Spider, from Ultimate spiderman. In that series, Wolf Spider was an evil version of peter parkers Spiderman who had a dark blue suit, with a red spider logo, as well as 4 organic spider limbs coming out of his back. He used the "Siege Perilous", a magic artifact, to hop between dimensions so that he could kidnap alternate spidermen and take their essence to become the most powerful spiderman in the multiverse. Maybe the plot of Madame Web has something to do with that. Its possible that Ezekiel wants to kill the different spiderwomen so that he can take their spider totem energy for himself to become stronger.

Stylistically, that trailer reminds me of a tv-movie or an old afterschool special. The teenage vibe is a little much for my taste. I'm intrigued though, a curiosity I didn't have when I watched other recent Sony trailers (Venom, Morbius, Kraven...)
