I always loved this group. Flirt, Just That Type of Girl, I’m Weak For You and more truly amazing compositions stood the test of time for sure. This album went way over everybody’s heads. Madame X consisted of Los Angeles based vocalists Iris Parker, Valerie Victoria and Alisa Randolph. But it was producer/songwriter/musician Bernadette Cooper, the founding member and drummer of the premier all-female self-contained pop/funk band Klymaxx who came up with the Madame X concept, dediced upon the name, hand-picked its members, and wrote and produced the songs. After internal problems, Cooper, having left Klymaxx to write and produce independently, in 1990 recorded a solo album titled "Drama According To Bernadette Cooper"

I watched the Truth In Rhythm video with Bernadette Cooper. She mentioned she and Lady T were friends. I bought this CD when it came out. I had no idea this song was like an ode to Lady T; Teena Marie. The scatting at the end confirms it. This could have been written by Teena Marie. Her and BC also had a song together on Teena Marie's CD Ivory called Sugar Shack.
